Provide Your Active Measures Feedback

During the summer of 2008 the FNSDS hosted Active Measures community dialogue sessions throughout BC.  Members of Band Council, Human Resource Development Agreement (AHRDA) holders, BSDWs and members of other social development organizations were invited to attend. The attendees were presented with materials to familiarize them with Active Measures and the goals of the program. After the presentation, attendees separated into discussion groups to discuss four main questions. The results of this survey was itemized in the Active Measures Reginal Dialogue Report

If you were unable to attend the meetings that were held in Kamloops, Nanaimo, Terrace, Abbotsford, Prince George and Kelowna BC, you have an opportunity to offer your feedback to the FNSDS by email. Your valued information will be compiled as an amendment to our report and utilized in future Active Measures decision making. Please review the report and provide your feedback.

The four questions are:

  1.  What processes are currently in place for intake, assessment and referral of IA clients?
  2.  What changes would need to be made to the current IA policy that would help you implement an Active Measures program in your community?
  3.  What would the elements of a better income assistance program be?
  4.  What works for your community? Previous and current success stories.

Please send your replies to rene@fnsds.org and michael@fnsds.org .

Thank you for your willingness to participate. Your efforts are appreciated.
